The Pegasus Dance Academy's academic year is divided into 3 terms, Autumn, Spring & Summer; each consisting of
approximately 12 weeks per term.

Fees & Invoicing
- TRIALS: Prospective Students and current Students are only permitted ONE trial session per new genre at £5 each (paid prior to attendance) this is non- refundable. All relevant forms must be completed prior to the attendance of a trial class.
- Once enrolled after a trial session has taken place, the full terms fees must be paid,
- An Enrolment Form, Medical Form & all other relevant forms must be completed for each Student for a place to be secured so that the correct billing can be issued,
- Termly fees are expected to be paid on time,
- Enrollment is automatically carried over to the following term. You will receive an invoice via email with payments expected on or before the due dates. Termly fees are expected to be paid on time, (1st July for Autumn Term, 1st November for Spring Term & 1st March for Summer Term),
- Termly invoices cover the class fees only. Uniform, Examinations, Shows, Events or any other additional charges/costs are invoiced separately,
- A Termly fee is charged for each class that a student attends,
- Payment is requested Termly and Students are expected to attend all classes that they are enrolled in,
- Class fees are subject to change,
- All missed classes must be paid for and no refunds will be issued for non-attendance, withdrawal/termination or reducing of any classes.
- Students who are enrolled during the academic year will be issued an invoice to enable payment to be paid immediately.
- Once invoices are sent out, they are expected to be paid unless in exceptional circumstances which must be expressed to the Joint Principals. This also must be explained in written form via email.
Payment
- Termly payments are expected on or before the due date. Termly fees are expected to be paid on time, (1st July for Autumn Term, 1st November for Spring Term & 1st March for Summer Term),
- Once invoices are sent out, they are expected to be paid unless in exceptional circumstances which must be expressed to the Joint Principals. This also must be explained in written form via email.
- Payment is required prior to the start of the new term or prior to joining new classes following confirmation after a trial. Failure to adhere to The Pegasus Dance Academy's Terms of Payment will result in the Student being excluded from attending any dance training until full payment has been received,
- Payments should be made using the invoice which is sent to the provided contact email address - upon full enrolment,
- Each student will be provided with an individual Student I.D number which will be used for membership identification, invoicing, payments and should be used for any correspondence to The Pegasus Dance Academy,
- Payment can be made by:
- Bank Transfer: Please include the dancers Student I.D number and name as reference
- If an invoice has not been paid in full by the due date or upon enrolment, the Student's place will not be secured and the student will not be admitted into any class until payment has been made in full. The designated payer will receive an email notification in accordance with these Terms & Conditions if payment has not been received,
- The Pegasus Dance Academy reserves the right to charge a late payment fee (currently £10) if a course remains unpaid after the invoiced due date and failure to pay will escalate charges. Your child will not be admitted to any class(s) until payment has been made.
- If for any reason, payment is difficult please speak to the Principals for easy payment by instalments,
- Prospective Students and current Students are only permitted ONE trial session per new genre at £5 each (paid prior to attendance) this is non- refundable. All relevant forms must be completed prior to the attendance of a trial class.
- Once enrolled after a trial session has taken place, the full terms fees must be paid,
- If dance classes are cancelled due to an emergency, illness of the Teachers, venue cancellation or bad weather conditions, we will try to reschedule the class(s) IF at all possible, however classes may be on a different day and time to the original timetable. No refunds will be given in this case.
- If in the event of a Pandemic where a National Lockdown, Local Lockdown, Government/Council closure, closure of the venue or class shutdown may occur then our dance classes will be transferred onto Zoom (No refunds given).
Withdrawal & Termination of attendance
- For students who have been enrolled at The Pegasus Dance Academy for longer than their introductory/full term of classes, a full term’s notice in advance is required in writing if a student wishes to withdraw from a class(s) or terminate their training at The Pegasus Dance Academy. Written notice (via email) must be received within the first two weeks of a term in order to qualify. If written notice of withdrawal from you falls after the full terms notice period, the following terms fees must be paid in full irrespective of the student taking class the next term. Please note that any holiday period is not included in the notice period requirement. If the two week notice period has been adhered to for the following term then no invoice will be issued and no fees due. Please note, verbal communication of withdrawal or termination will not be accepted or considered. Written notifications are mandatory.
- For newly enrolled students who have joined at any point in the term have a two week deciding period regarding the continuation of classes for the next term. Written notice (via email) still applies and must be received within the two week deciding period. The two week deciding period begins from the students first enrolled class. If the two week notice period has been missed then the following terms fees must be paid irrespective of whether the student will be attending class the next term. Please note that any holiday period is not included in the notice period requirement. Please note, verbal communication of withdrawal or termination will not be accepted or considered. Written notifications are mandatory.
- Should a student wish to leave and re-join the following term or at a later stage please note that fees are non-transferable. Any re-enrollment of students will need to complete another enrollment form along with a one off admin fee of £25. Please note this applies to each individual student. An invoice for the term’s classes will be issued separately and expected to be paid on time.
- The Principals of The Pegasus Dance Academy reserve the right to terminate a students training contract for any reason which includes bullying, disruption and disrespectful behaviour to Teachers and fellow Students which will not be tolerated. This will be discussed with Parents/Guardians initially and if this is not resolved then the appropriate action will be taken.
- Zero tolerance policy for argumentative, abusive and disrespectful behaviour of any kind to any staff member. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and will compromise your child’s dance place. In this case, The Pegasus Dance Academy reserves all rights to refuse entry to class.
Duty of Care
- A duty of care is given to ALL Students and correct technical instructions given. Students will need to be placed & corrected, in order to do that there will be some physical contact. UPDATE: in accordance with Government guidelines re: Covid-19, social distancing measures may be re-introduced. If so, we will need to minimise close contact with our students, therefore we won’t be able to physically mould the dancers into place as we will need to keep our distance. This won’t change our teaching, but just means that we won’t be able to physically stand close to them. Please see our Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy below.
- In an event of an emergency where First Aid is needed, we will wear PPE.

A Child is defined as under 18 - 'The Children Act 1989'.

Promotional Photographic &Videography Content - Parental Permission
- Students may be selected to be photographed & filmed at various times for social media, promotional material, website, newsletter, programmes etc as stated within our Conditions of Enrolment on The Pegasus Dance Academy's initial form (upon enrolment). Consent will be required prior to this taking place with our Photography & Videography form. (If you do not wish for your child to be included in this please notify the Principals.)
Content
- The Pegasus Dance Academy reserves the right to alter the advertised Dance Training timetable at any given time.
Code of Conduct
- The Pegasus Dance Academy issues a Code of Conduct to all Students, Parents/Guardians. All prospective and current dance Students and Parents/Guardians are expected to Read & Respect all of The Pegasus Dance Academy's Regulations to ensure the Students, Parents & Principal Dance Teachers are protected. These regulations should be adhered to, to enable enjoyment whilst training and learning at The Pegasus Dance Academy. Please also refer to the Main Code of Conduct for our in depth points.
- No attendance to any other dance school is permitted whilst being trained at The Pegasus Dance Academy, as teaching techniques can differ and conflict in the training of students.
- All students who participate in our Acro classes or have been invited to our AcroDance class, no attendance to gymnastics is permitted as conflicting techniques creates confusion and delays progression. Ballet is to be taken alongside our Acro classes to compliment and establish strong technique.
Data Protection (GDPR)
- The Pegasus Dance Academy is compliant with the new GDPR law which came into effect on the 25th May 2018. The Pegasus Dance Academy holds information about our dance students solely for Dance Education and Membership purposes. The contact details and information which you supply to us are kept secure and confidential and only used for the Academy or related events e.g Examinations, Shows & Courses.
- GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation & replaces the previous Data Protection. It was approved by the EU Parliament in 2016 and came into effect on 25th May 2018.
- GDPR states that personal data should be 'processed fairly & lawfully' & 'collected for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes' and that individuals data is not processed without their knowledge and are only processed with their 'explicit' consent. GDPR covers personal data relating to individuals. The Pegasus Dance Academy is committed to protecting the rights and freedom of individuals with respect to the processing of children's, parents, visitors and staff personal data. GDPR gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them. It provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled properly. The Pegasus Dance Academy does NOT share your personal information with third parties unless clearly stated. We do NOT sell your data and neither do we buy data from third parties.
- Any changes to contact details, address or medical conditions is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian to inform the Principals immediately. Should you wish to do so please email The Pegasus Dance Academy directly.
- No Students or Parents are permitted to use the name of The Pegasus Dance Academy or any choreography without prior consent.
- Any information that is sent directly to a Parent/Guardian is NOT to be circulated to any other parties without prior consent from the Principals of The Pegasus Dance Academy.

Health &Safety
- Upon arrival to the Dance Space, we ask that the Students are prepared to start class promptly.
- Students should arrive prepared in their Uniform with their hair appropriately styled for their dance class(s) or alternatively change into their Uniform in the toilets provided in the foyer and have their hair appropriately styled.
- Please be advised that Children/Students are not permitted to change into and out of their dance uniform in the Compass Cafe or waiting areas. This is a public space where other activities take place.
- Please ensure that your child has been to the toilet prior to the class starting to avoid disruption and accidents.
- For safety reasons we ask that Students are not left waiting alone (earlier or later) than their class times as we cannot supervise them outside of the dance space.
- No running on the premises to avoid accidents.
- We ask for Parents/Guardians to wait with their child/children until their particular class commences and for Parents/Guardians to pick up promptly.
- Parents are not permitted to stay in the class with the exception of the invitation for the End of Term Watching week (Summer Term).
- All Students are advised to eat prior to their class(s) as dancing is a physical activity.
- Bring a water bottle into class, please no hot drinks, canned or glass bottles.
- No food is to be eaten in the dance space, (only required for medical needs i.e diabetics).
- The Pegasus Dance Academy Uniform & required footwear is to be worn at all times during class and kept clean and presentable. Our Specific Dance Academy's Uniform is to be purchased through our online Dance store excluding our branded uniform which is to be ordered directly from us,
- Dance shoes are to be kept clean & not to be worn outside.

- A Register is taken at the beginning of each session for attendances & absences and in case of a fire or any evacuations.
- Any injuries sustained out of the dance space must be notified to the Principals/Dance Teachers prior to class commencing.
- Any accidents/incidents are recorded. Both Principals are First Aid Trained & carry a First Aid kit.
- All dance spaces are checked prior to all classes commencing & any of our props, resources, electrical equipment & belongings of the Principals/Dance Teachers are safely housed.
- All Student belongings must be kept tidy on the side where they cannot cause a hazard. Any belongings are the responsibilities of the Students.
- Both Principals/Dance Teachers are DBS checked, Fully Qualified, First Aid Trained & hold Public Liability Insurance and completed Prevent Covid-19 Training.
- All policies are reviewed & updated annually.
Changes to Our Terms &Conditions
- The Pegasus Dance Academy reserves the right to change our Terms & Conditions at any time for the benefit of the Academy, Principals & Students.
